Not sanitizing

When we run a cleaning cycle, the control display on the left does not indicate that the sanitzing has been done. No steam comes out of the vent in the door. Dishes are clean but very wet when the cycle shows done. Thank you, Chris

Sanitization may not be achieved if there was an interruption of the cycle, power failure or the incoming water temperature is bellow 120°F.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag dishwasher Model MDB7130AWW

Gene, I did notice last night that the display on the left indicated " delay heating", could that have an impact and if so what might cause that to occurr? Thank you in adavnce for your time. Chris

As it says in the Owner manual: The Heating Delay light illuminates when the cycle is being extended to heat the water. Very likely the incoming water is too cold (much bellow 120°F) and it takes very long time to heat it up and affecting the Sanitizing.

Gene, I have been on the road the past week and a half. I checked the water heater and it is set on hot. If the dishwasher is reacting to a water temp issue what part is reading the low temp? Is it something that I can replace myself or bypass to see if it is the culprit/ Thank you again for your time in this matter. Chris

Since the dishes are not drying I would check the water heating element (usually around 20 ohms) and the limit thermostat (0 ohms at room temperature).
Open the unit during a dry cycle and check the heater, use lots of spit on your finger you do not want to burn yourself.
Better yet use a meter. See the sticky at the top of this forum.
