Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: RBD305PDB12
Main Symptom: No tones
What happens & when: Had overheating condition on self clean cycle, fried user interface, control board, both thermal fuses. Replaced all of the above. Everything works but no sound. I’ve set SND On, and SND Hi. Still no sound. Do tones come from user interface panel or control board?
Error Code (if any): N/A
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced user interface, control board, thermal fuses

That should be part of the user interface.
I don’t see anything on the user interface that could generate sound. There is simply a ribbon contact that plugs into the control board.
Looks like the control board is NLA.Did you have it rebuilt? Looks like new board would have to be programmed! From Tech sheet: Programming the Cavity Size
When replacing the electronic control, be sure to
program the cavity size:
1. Within 60 seconds of power up, press the following
touchpads:
LOWER OFF, UPPER OVEN, BAKE, TEMP DOWN, TIMER
OFF, MINUTE DOWN, START, CLOCK, LIGHT.
2. Size is shown in display - “ID 30”.
3. Press CLOCK pad
until correct size is displayed.
4. Press CANCEL.
5. Press and hold LOWER OFF pad for 5 seconds to verify programming.servicemanual-4317164.pdf (8.1 MB)

Thanks for the help. What does NLA mean?
Well, I went through the steps to program the cavity but ran into a problem on step 4, “press CANCEL”. There is no CANCEL on the user interface. So I pressed START which restored the display, then pressed and held LOWER OFF to validate the programming. But I still have no tones. Any ideas?
