No power to ice/water dispenser. Power at Main circuit board, but front circuit board has no power

Brand: Kenmore Elite
Model Number: 106.56703500
Main Symptom: No power to Ice/Water Dispenser; won’t work at all
What happens & when: No lights nor function of dispenser itself.

Error Code (if any): Doesn’t provide error codes.
Parts or tests already tried: Main circuit board (behind flap) has power (checked with ohm meter; front board (directly behind dispenser) felt “hot” near plug near cover plate.

As the dispenser core control is receiving voltage (should be 120 Volts AC from the black wire to the white wire at connection P1 as well as from the light blue wire to the white wire when the door is closed), the next step would be identifying if there is any voltage at the connection P1 of the dispenser user interface. Based on available data, there should be about 12 Volts DC when testing from wire to wire on the user interface. Unfortunately, the technical data does not identify which wire is the 12 Volt DC supply, the DC ground, or the DC communication wire. With this being the case, each wire at connection P1 on the interface would need to be tested to each of the other wires. If 12 Volts DC is present at the user interface and it does not illuminate, the issue would very likely be with the dispenser user interface. If it turns out to be a failure with the dispenser user interface, unfortunately, the part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.
