This was the 1st lid lock from your store. The machine was working just fine. It belongs to my 79 y.o. father. He had an off balance load that he wanted to open the lid to correct, and since he is impatient and did not push the stop pause button and wait, nor did he unplug the machine, he forced/ripped the lid open and broke the lid tab, and switch. I have replaced the switch kit and cleared the codes, and unplugged the machine for a lengthy time. It will spray twice, fill and wash, but the will not spin or drain, and shuts off. When running diagnostic tests, i can get the pump to drain, but can not get the washer to spin. The black pin on the lid lock switch will not engage and lock the lid. Even when the unit is in wash cycle, i can still open the lid.

Since the lid lock is not engaging to lock, I would again place the unit into diagnostics checking for fault/error codes. If there are error codes follow the tech sheet for repair suggestions. If ther are no error codes, then move to the field service mode running the test for the lid switch. If there are no errors and the field service mode will not lock the lid, you will likely have an issue with the main control and it will need to be replaced.
