New Bosch board wiring harness doesn't match my built-in Thermador KBUIT4255E05's

Brand:Thermador
Model Number:KBUIT4255E05
Main Symptom: need help swapping control boards on this unit.
What happens & when:every 30 seconds, control board “clicks” then “chirps” once, repeats… In between these times, the led screens displaying temperature in side fridge are blank…until the click/chirp, and they momentarily come on, and go blank after the short chirp.

Error Code (if any):non, fridge doesn’t have a screen for that - 14 year old
Parts or tests already tried: Purchased new control board replacement and wiring harness plugs do not match.
I have no idea how this “upgraded” board can plug in to my existing refrigerator.

What was the part number of the board you purchased. It should be ( Bosch 12011148 Side-By-Side Refrigerator Refrigerator Electronic Control Board | Genuine OEM Part )

Yes, that is the one I have.

That refrigerator was made by Kitchenaid/Whirlpool.You could have the old board just rebuilt by this this company.FixYourBoard | W10818296 Control Board Repair

Great, thanks. Actually I figured out that I had to remove the side cover of the dog house (contains the on/off switch) to more fully expose the control board. And voila! the connectors I couldn’t see under the cover contained connectors that matched the new one. All good.

Only question I have now is that instructions say it’s “very important” to place included foil tape on the back of the fridge. Honestly, how important is that, given the pain in the ass it is to pull the refrigerator out. Does the new board/housing generate that much more heat?? Thanks for any insights on this.

Yes it does generate noticeable heat
