Replaced the configured ui board last September, solved my issue, now doing the same exact thing again. Need to troubleshoot for warranty purposes
If the board is not configured correctly, it will typically not even start or run. You may have another issue. GE has had some issues with the wiring in the door and the main control. I would separate the door and look at the wiring inside the door. The main control board is located at the bottom of the tub, behind the kick plate.
Everything looks fine. This is exactly what it did last time as well. Been working perfect since last September when I replaced board ap7218676/wd21x331902c. The warranty depends says I need to troubleshoot it to get it replaced.
If you will check out what I mentioned in the previous post, consider it troubleshooted (I know that is not a real word)
You mentioned “if the board isn’t configured correctly”, can it become unconfigured on its own? Meaning that everything was great for 6 months, and this am the dishwasher shut off mid cycle and then the control panel would not light up, start machine ect. After unplugging the machines power cord for 15 minutes and plugging the power cord back in , it lit up and allowed us to start the cycle, after a while it shut off and the control panel is not functioning again. Thank you
The do not loose their configuration so to speak. What you have going on is a part failure. It would not even start if the new board was not configured to your model. The configuration process is due to them using a generic board that fits multiple models. The configuration is making that generic board work with your model and specific features on your dishwasher. Some boards come configured to your specific model and you do not have to do anything.
