Brand: whirlpool front load Model Number: can’t get to it beings the door won’t open Main Symptom: the machine is stuck in a running mode, and I cannot unlock the door. What happens & when:

Parts or tests already tried:I’ve unplugged it plugger it back in, I’ve unplugged it flipped the breaker and plugged it back in, and I’ve left it unplugged for over 13 hrs.

Take the top cover off and reach down to the bottom of the latch, some of the Whirlpool latch es had a manual release to allow you to open the door. if that doesn’t work, you will have to break in by prying the door open with a bid screwdriver.
Try removing the top panel and reaching the manual release at the bottom of the latch, it should let the door unlock. If that doesn’t work, gently pry it open with a flathead. Once open, check the door lock assembly, as a faulty latch can keep the washer running.
