What happens &when: The coil is iced up Been having this problem for 3 months Control board has been replaced but didn’t do anything

Most likely you are having an issue with your evaporator defrost system either the heating element ( Frigidaire 5303918410 Refrigerator Defrost Heater | Genuine OEM Part ) or the defrost thermostat ( Frigidaire 5304521781 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat | Genuine OEM Part ) have failed. Both of these are accessible behind the evaporator cover in the rear of the freezer compartment
When the control board was replaced, the thermostat was also replaced How difficult is this defrost heater to replace and what’s it cost???
Was the defrost thermostat changed or was it the refrigerator thermostat ( Frigidaire 240597220 Refrigerator Temperature Sensor | Genuine OEM Part ) or the fridge thermistor ( Frigidaire 5303918775 Refrigerator Thermistor | Genuine OEM Part ) or the defrost thermostat on the evaporator coils. The heating element is $104.73 and is located below the evaporator in the rear of the freezer compartment
I would have to say the defrost thermostat, the one next to the coils. The defrost heater is located in the back below the coils??? I take it you have to get behind the fridge for this replacement
No you access it from the inside by removing the evaporator coil cover and disconnecting it an pulling it out from the bottom of the coils
