My bake element is bad and wiring connection to it is burned up

Usually, a burned wire connection like that is caused by a loose connection between the terminal and the spade on the element. When the connection isn’t tight, electrical resistance builds up and generates heat, which can eventually burn the terminal.

If the wire itself is not damaged beyond the point where a new terminal can be installed, then typically the bake element and the terminal end are the only parts that need to be replaced.

Once the new element and terminal are installed, make sure the connection is tight and secure to prevent the issue from happening again.
