Modern Maid Slow to Heat Up

Hi guys, a little help would be greatly appreciated.
My Modern Maid Gas PHU201 Top/Gas Oven range is slow to heat up in the oven area when one turns it on and prepares to place something in it.
I lifted up the bottom metal plate and it lites up,when activated, so I’m not sure why it’s slow to reach the set temp. The broiler burner seems to come on quickly when asked for.
Any help I’d be greatly appreciated.
