Main Symptom:no power
What happens & when:we had some food in the microwave and it had finished cooking. When my wife opened the microwave door, the microwave lost power and all the lights to it went out. I tried my old fix of unplugging it and plugging it back in and when that didn’t work, I checked the circuit breaker, and the breaker was tripped. When I reset the circuit breaker there was an immediate loud pop and the breaker tripped. I unplugged the microwave and plugged a blow dryer into the same outlet and that worked so then just for the hell of it I plugged the microwave back in and the circuit breaker reset but now the microwave has no power so I’m not sure if it’s a bad door switch and then the fuse in the microwave blew when I first tried to reset the circuit breaker? I know I replaced a door switch in it years ago, but with that issue when the door was opened, the turntable would turn. I’m not sure what to do with this issue? Thank you in advance for any ideas. Also, I’m pretty sure the microwave door was closed when I originally tried to reset the breaker and heard the Pop.
