Maytag washer will not run the clean cycle

Main Symptom: Will not run cleaning cycle
What happens & when: when I try to run a cleaning cycle to clean the washing machine, it stops partway through and gives me an error code. I’m sorry I don’t have the error code handy. I ran it through its factory cycles and it’s failing when it fills up the fabric softener bay. It skips that and has no response when I’m running the cycles it’s skipping C3 in moves from C2 to C4. Any ideas and thank you for the help,

Without the error code there isn’t a lot we have to go on. The issue in diagnostics mode with it skipping over tests may be a water valve W10853723 failure which could cause issues with the machine’s ability to run certain cycles.

It ran through all the cycles and ended with what looked to be a clear test. There were no error codes at the end of the testing even though it skipped C3. That’s what I thought was odd and reached out to you guys to see if you had any ideas.
