Main Symptom: Matag 1996 washer Model LAT9635AAM. All cycles work with hot water, but not cold. I have tested the water inlet valve and it is good. When I switch to cold water and try to run a cycle it immediate makes a glunk noise and will not let the cold water in. No error code. Please advise.
Parts or tests already tried: Dual solenoid water inlet valve tested and in good condition.

Chief52, thanks for your post. If the cold solenoid on the inlet valve is receiving the proper 120 VAC, the next step is to verify that cold water is actually reaching the valve.
You can check this by:

Turning off the water supply.

Disconnecting the cold water hose from the washer’s inlet valve.

Aiming the hose into the drain standpipe.
-
Turning the water supply back on briefly.
If water flows strongly through the hose, that confirms the house supply is good and the inlet valve itself has failed.
