Brand: Maytag Model Number: MVWC565FW2 Main Symptom: Out of balance What happens & when: About a month ago the machine started to shake and walk. We researched it and replaced the Suspension Rods. This did not fix the problem. We then looked at the Gearcase and the shaft seems to have play in it. So, we purchased from your website. Replaced the Gearcase and the Nylon drive hub ring and retainer clip. We even recalibrated the machine, it still rocks. Last night I ran a load of laundry. I stayed with the machine. It seems to only do it in rinse cycle, shakes violently when spinning in rinse cycle. Once the machine is in spin cycle, it’s smooth and no issues. I really need some help. I’m $250+ into this and running out of options! The machine is level, no issues there. This machine is in great shape as well. Not beat up like i see in some videos online. Could it be the shift actuator? I read that if this is bad it may not engage into the cycle properly? Or is it a control board issue? Looking for professional help! please!

In the rinse cycle, is it spinning and shaking after it has filled with water, or is it shaking and spinning after it has drained the water just before the rinse cycle?
It should not be spinning at a rate that would cause the basket to shake around. The most it should do is slowly rotate to allow water to drop onto the clothes. Then it should agitate just like in the wash cycle. With it not operating a cycle like it should, the issue would be in the main control. Correct, the spin basket should rotate slowly while filling for a little bit and then it should agitate the clothes. If it ramps up in speed while filling, it can cause a failure like the tub banging around due to being out of balance.
OK, update on this. Last night we washed a load of laundry. We noticed it emptied the water in Rinse Cycle and then spun out of control. Not sure if this is the same as what you were saying yesterday. It’s not full of water when it spins. It fills and agitates a bit, then empties and start to spin. This is when it starts to bang around.
