Maytag MHWE201YW00 washer ends without spinning, doesn't reach high spin speeds, or stops spinning prematurely

Thanks - I will try replacing the shock absorbers (hopefully springs are ok since drum doesn’t sag and no clunk during spin). Yes highest spin speed was always selected.

I replaced all 3 shock absorbers but the washer still behaves the same: Clothes come out wet during regular cycle, and the washer doesn’t sustain high spin speed during drain/spin cycle. During auto diagnostic, high spin speed is not achieved. No diagnostic error codes. What would be the likely cause of the issue?

The motor WPW10315848 or the MCU built into it would be my next suspect, but as you previously mentioned, that part is no longer available. I really doubt it is the CCU, especially with everything else seeming to work.

Thanks. If the MCU is bad, why is there no diagnostic error code (tech sheet shows F1E2 or F7E2 MCU codes)? If I can’t find the MCU part aftermarket then a new washer would be the only option?

After replacing the 3 shock absorbers, we ran a rapid wash cycle, the washer spun at high speed mid-cycle, so I thought it was fixed but when I returned at the end of the cycle the clothes were dripping wet. Then tried to run a drain/spin and same behavior as before.

The MCU might not be telling the CCU that there is anything wrong to generate a code. That’s basically where you’re at is replacing the appliance.
