Maytag Gas Dryer MDG3706AWW Not Getting Hot Enough

Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDG3706AWW
Main Symptom: Too Long To Dry. Not enough heat.
What happens & when:

All Vents and inside machine cleaned. Zero fuzz balls in venting and blower. Gas ignites burns 30-40 seconds then off. Again and again. TOO long to dry a load. Replaced high temp thermostat as went out. Continuity and ohm readings ok on all other parts… flame sensor, cycling thermostat, dryer thermostat, gas valve coils… all read good. Why is it not getting hot enough or gas starting on long enough at points to dry. Replace cycling thermostat next?? 80$?? Partial failure on what part? Help please. Thanks.

When you ran clothes in it, did the clothes seem hot and steamy? Cycling thermostat could be next but I am not convinced just yet. What you are describing is a restricted vent or bad gas coils. Take the vent hose off the back, pull it out away from the wall and run a load of clothes, see what it does.

Nit hit and steamy. Warm and damp.

That is a good idea. Will try.

Coils next before thermostat if same results?

Try the experiment first and let me know how it went

Pulled away from wall and vent same symptoms… fires up. Burns 30 seconds then off 1 min… approximates. One wet towel did not dry in 30 mins. Not getting or staying hot enough. Revacuumed entire machine again. Not much there to get. Coils? Thermostat? Thanks!

Ordered the coils based on info here and is the next cheapest thing to try…
