My Maytag model MED9700SB0 dryer heats up fine, but all of a sudden there is no air going though it. The lint filter is not even get any lint in it. My vent line in the house is clear. Is there a fuse or something in the dryer I can replace? Could there be a belt off the blower? Where would I find it inside the machine? Does someone have a repair schematic?
I am assuming that the drum rotates.
The only thing I can think of is that the blower wheel has come loose from the motor’s armature/shaft. Though it is strange that it has not blown the thermal fuse.
The motor has two centrifugal switches on it one for removing the start winding and one to switch in the heating coil. They activate when the motor gets close to operating speed. Since you have heat and the motor does not overheat I am assuming that they are OK. Note there is always a possibility that something weird is going on with them.
You did not say if the clothes are actually drying OK.

Yes there is but it would kill power to the motor.

As far as I know the blower screws onto the motor shaft. Note: It is reverse thread.
