My dryer isn’t drying like it should. I have to run it 3 or 4 times to get my clothes to dry. The lint trap is clean and I pulled the dryer apart and cleaned all of the lint out so I don’t think it is an airflow problem but I’m not sure if it’s a thermostat problem or the heating element. Can it partially burn out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Most likely the problem is the clog vent outside the dryer.
Disconnect the vent hose from the dryer and run a couple of loads with the hose being disconnected.
Post your findings, please.
Gene.
I tried that when I cleaned everything out and got the same result. The exhaust runs from the back of the dryer through the wall and that’s it so I’ve only got about a foot of duct work from the back of the dryer.
