Main Symptom: Cycle will not start, pressing start it says 2H flashes many times, then turns off.
What happens & when Cycle will not start when I press start. When I press start I see 2H flashing many times, then it shuts off. Some other buttons don’t seem to work when I press them. Pressing rinse will get a 9, then it goes off, dishwasher does not start. I can change the amount of time for the delay but the same thing happens. In the user guide/manual, I followed the instructions to cancel the delay, but nothing happened. I also read about being able to lock the buttons, and followed the instructions to unlock them, but nothing happened, that button did light up beside it as the instructions said, doing it again and then it turned off. Still no response from other buttons. I replaced the door latch handle assembly. Still no change. Something I am pressing is not doing what it is supposed to or my order is not right, or something. Or maybe I should have the door open or closed when I press the buttons? I tried both ways. I think it needs to be cleared and reset somehow. There must be some way to clear it –the button instructions and restart them. If not, or if that did not work I am thinking possibly the control panel is the problem, but is it that or maybe just the buttons and how can I tell? or maybe it is something else. I read that sometimes the ribbon cable to the control panel gets corroded and to clean it with alcohol and a q-tip. Should I try that? I sure wish I had a repair manual or the tech sheet for it. I would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank You.
You’ve got an issue with a bad control panel or bad control board. The buttons and switches are part of the control panel, as well as the ribbon cable, and are only serviceable with the control panel as a whole. Unfortunately, the control panel and the board have been discontinued and can no longer be purchased.
