My Maytag dishwasher MDB7809 suddenly stopped working. The touch pad buttons don’t light and they are inoperative. I unplugged the power for several minutes and when plugged back in, it seems to be in a demo mode where the motor goes on for a minute, then the wash light comes on and after another minute it stops. No water comes in. Called Maytag and a tech says it sounds like its stuck in Demo mode, tried a button sequence to get it to work, but no go. Any help?
make sure the water is turned on, sounds silly, but it happens.
Yes, water has always been on.
Hi–Realized I left you all high and dry…turned out to be the control panel. First replaced the control board…still didn’t work so put the old board back in and replaced the control panel and it worked. So now I have a new control board for sale if anyone is looking. Paid $100..will sell for $75.
