Maytag dishwasher detergent dispenser won't open

Hello,

Maytag dishwasher model# PDB 1600 AWE

The door to the detergent dispenser doesn’t open.

Any suggestions, please ??

Most likely the problem is a bad wax motor (#1 on the soap dispenser break down diagram).

Gene,

Client gained access to the dispenser and found that the connecting wires are extremely short and one of them came off a connector. Client will reconnect after getting bettter access and it should work.
