With the power supply cord unplugged, it looks like there should be a few screws securing the console to the range that would need to be removed. They are either on the bottom or the sides of the console. Once they are removed the console should pull forward slightly and then lift up enough to disconnect the wire harness. From there, the back trim on the cooktop would need to be removed. The screws holding the cooktop would be removed and the cooktop set to the side. Once that is removed, the elements and panel would need to be disconnected and removed from above the generator board assembly. It is always a good idea to notate or take a picture of where each element wire goes. Once the generator assembly is access, it would be beneficial to take a picture of the wire connections before disconnecting the wires and replacing the assembly.

Thanks.

why remove the wireing harness if the action is above?

Based on what I am seeing using the parts breakdown, the generator board assembly WB27X50529 (diagram number 137) sits below the elements. The elements and the panel they sit on would need to be removed to access the generator board assembly, and to get them out of the way looks like it would require disconnecting the wires.
