Lint blows heavily out of back vent

Seems like whenever we are down the yard and the geyser of a vent lets loose and we find ourselves standing amisdt a virtual snowstorm of fuzz. I replaced, tightend and shortened exhaust hose last week. I replced the duct through the wall the week before that too. While I was back there in closet i vacuumed all i could get to with the flexible wand.

Is this normal? It seems like an awful large volume of fluff to be shootting out each time.

Thanks!!

PS Brand is Whirlpool Gas Duet about 5.5 years old I think.

Hello John. Check and see if the lint filter is torn, or if the felt seal on the filter has come off. If so, you will need to replace the lint filter. If it is good, check and make sure the air duct assembly is sealing good to the blower unit, and the blower wheel is clean and no lint build up inside the fan blades. Hope this helps.
