It isn’t very common, but the strike which is part of the lid W11627419 may not be making properly when the lid is closed. That strike is the only other part of the lock system, either there is an issue with it or the lid itself is warped and not letting it sit correctly, or the unit top W11513254 is warped/damaged and keeping it out of position.

turns out it was a Nickel and a dime wedged tight in the lower drum pieces so when turned out a relay signal from the drain pump broke from heat and the control board never got verified signal to lock the lid and could continue. I soldered the blue wire which was easy to see broken. I didn’t know the drum was stuck (the flat disc that agitates). so when I turned it on an electric charge was frying the drain pump motor and burned it out shorted a from melted coil sending a direct 120 volts to the control board from the new board. $221 plus shipping and tax. So I have to buy a new drain pump. and I will try the original circuit board since all the lights were working. The coils in the drain fried and sent a current to the control board since the agitated disc was stuck with coins I didn’t know about.. Lights come on. I never saw this in the trouble shooting guide. and to dig for reasons why good parts had nothing to do.
