LG WM2801HWA Washing Machine has an Intermittent No Start

My LG WM2801HWA suffers intermittent no start issues. It has power, and I’ve checked the noise filter with a meter. I’ve also removed, cleaned, and re-installed the door switch. The switch seems to function correctly, except the door light stays on when the door is open or closed. The machine functions normally if I un-plug and re-plug. It will work fine for a while, but then ‘time out’ if left alone for an hour or so.

Note that the ‘door light’ and child lock functions on the control panel don’t work. All other functions work.

I think it’s the circuit board, but want to confirm before ordering. Note that your system says the part is no longer available

The manufacturing date is April of 2009

This issue will most likely be the control board since the unit can be reset by unplugging the unit and then plugging it back in.
