LG Washing Machine, Model # WT7300CV/03, where upon initial balancing it is creating a metal to metal sound, like a zipper stuck which it is not, and then LE code comes on

What happens & when: During Sensing Balance it will not allow it to go further,…it did before, but now will not do it. I can provide the sound that I’m talking about.

Error Code (if any): LE
Parts or tests already tried: Took Agitator off, nothing under sticking it.

Does the spin basket rotate freely by hand? And if the sound could be provided, it could help identify what may be happening.

I have to really pickup on the spin basket to move it an….the impeller will rock a bit back & forth that is it,

The spin basket should not need to be lifted up to rotate it. This is usually an indicator that the spin basket is rubbing against the bottom of the tub due to the basket hub being damaged. It would be worth removing the spin basket from the washer to inspect it fully and identify if it has been damaged where it sits on the transmission shaft.
