When you say the washer housing, are you referring to the console? There’s a video attached to the parts page for EBF61674802 that goes over accessing and replacing the lock assembly that may help.

lol… watched the video, and that guy made the steps of inserting the putty knife and lifting the top of the housing look easy. But he actually skipped the bit where you have to wrestle the damn top open. I can get the top up about 1/4”, but even deploying my very strong young adult sons, we are unable to pry the (insert angry expletive here) top up any further. HELP!
