Brand: LG Model Number: LFX31925ST/00 Main Symptom: warm refrigerator @ 56 degrees, warm freezer @ 37 degrees What happens & when: Fans were hitting on ice build up on evaporators. Thawed them out and reassemblied. Still have warm temps
Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Tested thermometer (thermister?) and got 0 ohms. Defrost heating elements tested in spec: 40 ohms & 80 ohms
Cleaned heavy ice off of both evaporators, tested compressor Amp draw, it is in spec. All fans functioning. I am going to replace the thermometer.
My question is should I replace both defrost system thermometers also, or just try the one main system thermometer (also heard it called thermister also)

Am I replacing the wrong part then, if I replace the thermometer (thermister) to control the temperatures in both areas? PN: LG ACQ73244001
My thinking is that if I cleared the ice off the evaporators, but still did not get good Temps in two days and the thermometer tested 0 ohms, it is faulty and the clause of low Temps. But I’m a machinist, not repair person
So if there was no change in the temperature and the frost was only on the top section of the evaporator then this would be a sealed system issue and would recommend service.
