Brand: LG Model Number: DLEX3370W Main Symptom: Lint Filter won’t fit replacement part What happens & when: original part broke, housing and lint filter. bought replacement lint filter and OEM housing. the housing seems to be a slightly different shape and lack recessed “shoulders” that the top sides of the filter would set down into.

first photo is the difference between the edges of the housings (new is installed, old is held up in front)
second photo is the filter not fitting in the new housing
third photo is the filter fitting in the old housing
also – i confirmed that the part I ordered and installed is compatible with my machine, but it seems like there may be an updated or alternate style of filter? or some variant to the design that requires a matched pair of filter and housing? just not sure how best to resolve and if it makes more sense to get a new housing or filter?
You can’t get the old housing anymore, you’ll need to replace the lint screen and filter guide to match the housing. The screen and guide come in a kit for just this purpose, 383EEL3002Q.
Ignore the “LG Dryer LP Conversion” title, I’m sending it over to have the part title corrected.
Thanks for the help! Question: the guide i have seems to fit perfectly with the new housing, whats changed about the guide? It seems like with an updated screen i’d be all set?
I was going off a note about the housing but found some other stuff when digging around, it appears you can replace just the lint filter w/ part # ADQ56656403 and be alright.
