What was the original problem that you replaced the front interface. I am assuming the model number is LFHB2751TF6.
the water and ice refill came on at the same time. I had replace the 4 valve water inlet and this problem came after replacing the valve
Try holding the power cool and the power freeze buttons at the same time for 10 seconds to see if it will reset. Sometimes unplugging it for a couple of minutes will re-set the main board.
I tried both with no luck. Water was working before I installed new board ,is not now. I reinstalled old board and water no longer works. Front of both boards are hot to touch
If you carefully dismount the dispenser control board and test the three wire connection from the black wire to the red wire, does it measure 12 Volts DC? Short sections of a thin paper clip can be used to act as needle extensions when secured to meter probes. If it does measure 12 Volts DC, this next check can help isolate if there might be something occurring with the dispenser module. If you unplug the power cord and disconnect the 10 wire connection from the dispenser control, what happens when the power supply cord is plugged back in?
I have 12 volts dc there. The dispenser ,242270209, has been replaced. I tried both new and old dispenser and still have no reaction from the new board. I believe that the new board is defective. I need a replacement 5304518822 how do I get one? This has been going on for over a week and I need to fix this!
When was the dispenser module replaced? Also, would you be able to verify the model number please? The model LFHE2751TF6 does not show up as a valid model number but the model LFHB2751TF6 identified by David does. Verifying the model number will help me to make sure everything is matching up.
LFHB2751TF6 . 242270106 module was replaced last week.
This all started when I replaced the water filter. Got a discharge of dark water after changing.
The next morning the water didn’t work. Found a bad water valve and replaced it. The water worked after that but when the water fill for ice maker the water dispenser ran. All lights on the front panel worked. When I replaced the control board with the new one no lights worked. When I reinstalled the old board none of the panel lights or water dispenser work. I think the new board was bad and took out a power supply some where else in the unit
When you tested voltage at the dispenser control, did unplugging the 10-pin connector from the display change anything at all?
If you’re seeing 12 Volts DC reaching both dispenser controls while they are installed, they should be able to power on normally—unless there is a low-voltage short coming from another component affecting the circuit. Unplugging the 10 pin connector can help identify if this might be the case.
As for the water valve behavior, the water dispenser solenoid and ice maker solenoid should not open at the same time under normal operation. If they are, there are a couple of likely causes:
A failed diode on the dispenser solenoid circuit, allowing voltage to backfeed
Or the main control board is incorrectly sending voltage to both solenoids simultaneously. A main control failure could also cause issues with the dispenser control if there is a low voltage short within it.
These checks should help narrow down where the issue is.
