I unnecessarily removed the basin in the dishwasher tub while diagnosing a drainage problem. Happy to say, I repaired the solenoid but forgot exactly how to replace or seal the rubber basin. Is it just seated down in there or do I have to get the tub into the groove (under the top lip of the basin)to get a good seal?
Can you refer the parts you named to the numbers on the diagrams?

505 Sump cap
I’m assuming you are talking about the inlet sump
If this is right then just push it straight down all the way and install the sump cap and the cover with the two screws.

Do you think that I can get the two screws for the cover at a hardware store? Part #833
You can try it or you can order them from Appliance Parts Pros. The screw size is 8/16 x 2. The part number for the screw is AP2038533
