I am having my kitchen remodeled and have moved the dishwasher in and out a few times. Since then the spring action on the doors is noticeably louder (even allowing for the sound dampening panel removed) and a slow drip which seems to be coming from the left bottom side of the door during the spray cycles. Any Suggestions??
Pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet enough to see the door hinges and springs. Inspect the hinges, springs and cables on both sides. Post the results.
Sorry for the delay since your response. Pulled out dishwasher and the springs, cable and arm assembly seem to be OK. I ran my finger along the bottom door gasket and there seems to be about a 12" piece missing in the middle. I can’t tell from the part photo whether this is normal.
The door fits securely around the the sides and top, and the latch catches so I don’t think the door is dislodged. Is there a way to ensure that the bottom is hinged correctly?
I installed the part you recommended, a bottom door gasket, and I also installed side splash shields upon recommendation at the parts store. Thanks for your help.
I have another problem with the DW since moving it around. The springs creak and moan like a dungeon door every time we open and close the door. All the parts seem to be in place. Do you have any suggestions for dampening the noise??
