We have a great Amana fridge in the garage. We have the coldest beer in town, but everything else freezes. It’s a top freezer model. Needs a new thermostat, but the fridge PN/SN tag is missing. Might the thermostat for the fridge be generic enough that I can order a new one without the model or serial number of the fridge itself?

It also needed a new defrost timer. Replacing that seems to have fixed the freezing problem in the fridge compartment.
