Just replaced the control module on my GE diswaher, [was dead], and when unit starts up, the on the control module states: let unit run through
test calibration cycle, then hit reset, [start/stop] button after 2nd pump
out.

I did this and unit does not come back into normal operating mode, where
a cycle can be selected, did I receive a defective control module?

Module p/n WDZ1X10370.

thanks,

Larry

Larry,

I’m assuming there is “2” instead of “Z” in the part number you posted. If it’s true then the part number is correct.

Try to unplug the dishwasher for a few minutes and then plug it back.

I have tried recycling power several times in the manner you described , with the same results every time.

The only indicator lit when power is applied is the “added heat” button, when the start stop button is pressed it goes through what am assuming
is the test/ calibration cycle, which the note on the front control module
describes.

It runs through this okay and ends up with the same results.

I can not make a cycle selection, the only thing it will recognize is pressing
the start/stop button to start the whole process over.

I did make an error on the p/n.

thanks,

Larry,

I would check how the ribbon is plugged into the control board and repeat the calibration procedure one more time. If it would not work then looks like the new board is defective and has to be exchanged under the part warranty.
