re dishwasher
when i push the start resume button it flashes
nothing else happens.
the door is firmly closed and the breaker is not tripped

Could be the thermal fuse is blown.
It will be on/near the control board.
Remove it and check it with a meter, should be 0 ohms.
If blown be sure to use the new wiring harness that comes with the replacement fuse.
when we initiate the diagnostic sequence by pushing normal wash heated dry normal wash heated dry, all the ligts on the control panel come on then they go out , then you can start the machine s wash cycle but it is an abbreviated cycle . When it is done the clean light flashes and it will not work again unless you innitiate the diagnostic sequence again
