Kitchenaid Superba leaking from underneath

Hello,
My kitchenaid Superba has started leaking. This isn’t a couple drops - it went through my kitchen floor and into the basement!

I opened the bottom panel to look underneath and ran a cycle to see what it did. It is leaking from the bottom (definitely not from the door), and it’s happening at the beginning of the cycle, pretty well when it’s filling up.

Sorry, I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, and I looked on the net to see if I could find a part diagram to identify what I’m talking about - I can’t!

The leak is coming from a piece in the middle (about 10" back, almost centered). It is not a small part, probably one of the bigger things under there. It’s very light grey plastic, and it has accordion-like folds. I think the water is coming from there, or at least from some connection very close by.

HELP! Does anyone know what I’m talking about or have any experience with this?

Thanks!

Try looking at the float valve on the front right of the machine. Sometimes
it can get filled with deposits that must be cleaned out for it to work…
You can gently pull it up and it will pop off…

A Model Number may help others help you.

Also, you then could look the part up on AppliancePartsPros, there is a good chance it will show a parts breakdown.

Get a small mirror and a flashlight, this should help you find the leak.
A small mirror on a handle like the ones mechanics use is a plus.
