I have a 1994 Kitchenaid model KUDP230B that is leaking water on the floor. I pulled the bottom cover a noticed the water coming out of the tub around the motor. I looked up the KUDP230B on your website and it says its a Whirlpool (hopefully its the same machine as the Kitchenaid). I have not started disassembling the machine yet to look for a bad gasket, but notice a couple of likely candidates in the parts catalog. One would be the Motor Gasket Kit p/n AP2908993 and the other the Drain and Wash Impeller Kit which has a gasket included in the kit.
My questions are :
-
Am I looking at the right parts catalog and part numbers for my dishwasher ?
-
Are the two gaskets I’m looking at the likely culprits or is there something else that I should be looking at ??
-
If the gasket in the Drain and Wash Impeller kit should be replaced, should I just buy the gasket that is in that kit or am I wiser to buy the whole kit because of the age of the washer ?
Thanks for your help in advance.. Dave Greenough .. dgreenou@together.net
