KitchenAid KSRV25FHWH01.Won't Start ...ordered your parts..it worked then stopped

What happens & when:

Originally when it wouldn’t start I went to your site and determined that it was either starter relay (8201799) or defrost timer (W10822278).

Thinking it was the relay I ordered it first, put it in and no start. Ordered the defrost timer, put it on and, after a couple of hours it started and ran flawlessly for 4 or 5 days. It died and won’t start… Help…I am in over a hundred bucks so far. What should I do??? Is the timer defective??? Or???

Can you hear the condenser fan and/or evaporator fans running even though the compressor isn’t?

No, no noise at all. Light inside fridge and freezer is on.

Alright, that means it is either the thermostat WP2315562 or the timer that you’ve already replaced.

Check that thermostat for continuity and replace it if it is open.

I went to begin to get at thermostat and the refrigerator was working!!! After 8 days plus I guess it just started…However it has stopped after 3 or 4 days.. Does this tell you anything or do I need to get at thermostat??? Thank you

Ok…have panel out and existing thermo is different from the new…mainly the terminals for the orange and black wires. On the new one which terminal does the orange wire go…it was on bottom on old one and the Black is on top. The new one has pins that are side by side. I am attaching pics of old, new and both side by side. In the side by side the new one is to the right and the existing is to the left. I think if I know

the answer to this I can finish and see if it works!! Thank you!!!

Shouldn’t matter, this is a simple 120v load so they can be put on either terminal.

Thank you…The instructional video just said make sure orange wire goes on bottom and red (mine is black) goes on top!

INSTALLED!! And, after a while for defrost timer to catch up it has begun cooling… So far so good…Will see after 4 or so days!!!
