Kitchenaid Dishwasher

I have a kitchen aid dishwasher that we have replaced the thermal fuse, twice. When the first one went bad,was during a storm. I replaced it and the dishwasher worked for about two weeks, It went out last week, I put a new fuse in and it didnt last over the weekend. I have checked amp draws on the heating elemnt and cant seem to find anything out of range. Has any one ran across this before?

Thanks
Mitch

Hi Mitch,

What is the complete model number of the dishwasher?

What is the part number of the thermal fuse you installed?

Gene.

KuDS01FLSS6

Part# 8269213

Have you replaced the wires supplied with the new part?

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KUDS01FLSS6 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Gene.

No, Just the fuse itself. The terminals looked ok. I will replace the wires when we go back out with a new fuse.

Mitch

I read in a previous post to replace the wiring when the fuse is replaced. Is there a problem with overcurrent or amperage there? We dont work on many kitchen aid dishwashers, so im not real familiar with some of there problems.
