Kitchen Aid Refrigerator Ice Auger not dispensing ice

Brand: Kitchen Aid
Model Number: KRSC503ESS00
Main Symptom:Not dispensing Ice
What happens & when: when I press the paddle to dispense ice nothing happens but a faint sound. It does make ice In hopper.

We were gone for a month and came back and it did work for a week with old ice then stopped. I did not clean out old ice and I probably should have.
I unscrewed and removed the old auger motor W10225313 and found it difficult to turn so used some WD40 on the shaft and it now turns with a wrench but still does not dispense ice.
The auger motor shows about 100 ohms across the outside terminals.
When I press the ice dispensing paddle I hear the normal faint start noise but then nothing.
The ice maker is making ice and working and so is the water paddle.
Not sure what to test next.

This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty dispenser motor that would need to be replaced.

I have done some troubleshooting and found that there is no voltage going to the auger motor when the paddle is pressed.
Also there is a Ice Door Flapper motor starts opening when the paddle is pressed but I reached up and found it’s really dirty and a bit moldy around the seal.
So I think there is a switch on this flapper motor that says when the flapper is opened to allow the ice auger to start.
But I can’t figure out how to get access to it so I can clean it or replace it.

I found how to remove and replace this flapper. Removing the front plastic touch screen was not easy. And there are two pieces to this panel. You need to remove the larger black frame, not just the front thin touch screen.
Here’s the instructions….

Well I’m stumped. The flapper was really moldy so I cleaned it up and put it all back.
When I press the lever for ice the flapper motor runs and the flapper opens properly but the auger does not run to dispense the ice.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
