My kitchen aid dish washer will not run through it’s run cycle. I replaced the timer and it still will not starting it’s cycle. I can turn the knob through all the stages, fill, wash, rinse and dry and they work properly. Is there something other than the timer that would stop the washer from running through it’s cycle. Thanks!
Are you saying it will not advance in the cycles?
Yes, it will not advance in the cycles , but all cycles work.
This is a really old dishwasher and the “new” timer might be old stock. I would remove the cover from the timer and spray the contacts with non-residue contact cleaner available at Lowes. Turn the timer while spraying. If your timer contacts where contaminated, this should fix it. That is a 115 volt timer motor. You could stick 115 volts to it or check it’s resistance with an ohmeter. If it refuses to run with voltage to it, it’s bad and send it back.
