I have a kitchenaid kudk02crbs4 dishwasher that the door no longer stays shut during the wash cycle. I have tried adjusting clip but still having trouble. Think i want to replace the latch (AP3179951)? Does this sound reasonable?

The latch is a good bet as they will become weak with age. The installation is pretty simple, just remove all the screws along the outside of the inner door panel and the whole door comes apart.
Did that work I have the same problem. It opens halfway through cycle.
If you have the same Kitchenaid model, and it pops open during wash, the latch will usually resolve the issue.
