Main Symptom: leaking
What happens & when: refrigerator recently started leaking from the rear. The drain pain sits on top of the condenser and appears to have cracks. How do I remove the pan? It is not easy to see why it is stuck in place.

Parts or tests already tried: tried to remove pan but something I can’t see feels like it is blocking it.

On these models, the drip pan ( 5304443219 Defrost Drain Pan Kit | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock ) is secured to the top of the compressor using mastic (adhesive). New replacement pans typically include a tube of mastic for installation.
Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available through us. Before attempting to remove the existing drip pan, we strongly recommend locating a replacement online. Removing the old pan can cause damage, so it’s best to have a new one ready before proceeding.
Thank you for the response. If I cannot locate a replacement pan, do you have a recommended solution for the leak? If I can locate a replacement plan, what is the best way to remove the existing pan since it is adhered to the compressor?
The only way I know to remove it is to break it into pieces and then thoroughly clean the area where the tray adheres. That way, when you install the new adhesive, it will bond properly.
As far as locating a drip pan, all I can suggest is checking with third-party vendors. We’re not allowed to recommend specific websites.
Fixing the leak is a tough one. You’ll need to determine exactly where the leak is coming from and figure out a way to access that area. If it’s a crack, almost any suitable sealant or caulk should work. The challenge is getting to the correct location to make the repair.
