I was thinking the thermistor but also heard it could be the control board screen. It is set for 0 and I have a remote temp sensor inside that has always stayed around 0 +or- 2 each way. The remote temp sensor is showing -22 and to make sure i added a second stand alone temp sensor that also reads -22. Thanks
This issue is likely the thermistor, but it could be the board. Check the wiring diagram with the machine for the accurate resistance and check the thermistor with a multimeter.
Thanks. Do you know if I can test this at the pins where the screen plugs in or do I need to remove the thermisor to test? Im sure the wiring diagram is on the back and its not eash to pull the freezer out to see it. Thanks
I removed the thermistor and put it in a glass of ice water without putting the end with the wires underwater. Using my fieldpiece meter i used the temp probe and read 36.5f water temp. putting the sensor in that water showed 26.13k ohms. It should be about 27k ohms at 32f. Is that close enough to rule out the thermistor?
