Kenmore 70 Series Gas Dryer - Tumble, No Heat, Dial Advances

I have a Kenmore 70 series Gas Dryer. It tumbles but has no heat. I checked the Thermal fuse, internal bias thermostat, high limit thermostat, and cycling thermostate. All indicated continuity with the exception of internal bias thermostat where one connection has resistance of 3 ohm. Does that mean it is bad?

Also, I wanted to check the igniter (it glows when start the cycle), heat sensor, and gas coil. However, I was unable to open the front (single panel) of the dryer as I can’t reach the two screws on the bottom of the panel. Could you tell me how?

What else can I check to ensure what is needed to replace? Thank you for your help.

[SIZE=2]I’m in the same boat as you right now, except so far I’ve replaced the solenoid valves and the ignitor on my 70 series. Still no luck getting the fire to light. In response to what you should be looking for, check out this website: How To Fix a Gas Dryer - Gas Dryer Repair Guide - ACME HOW TO.com - If I’d found this earlier I may have had better luck figuring out exactly what to replace.

At least on my dryer, the bottom of the front panel wasn’t actually screwed on, but held in place by… crap, it’s late and I can’t remember what the blasted things are called. Anyway, the front panel slides off if you pull up on it.
