Kenmore 665 no lights or keypad response

I can’t get my dishwasher to run at all. I’ve jumped the thermal switch and both door latch switches and still no action. The only thing it does when I plug it in is make a click (coming from the control panel) followed by a second click 3 seconds later.

What else could it be?

sounds as if control board may have failed

I also have no lights on the front panel and none of the buttons work. Is it possible that the panel could be defective? is there anyway of checking that?
