Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.71652021
Main Symptom: Felt belt needs replacing
What happens & when:
Does anyone have the service manual for a Kenmore 110.71652021 Gas Dryer - the rear felt belt came off and it’s a big job to disassemble. I wasn’t able to find any videos for this exact model showing disassembly steps so if anyone can provide a service manual or even a video on how to disassemble this particular model that would be great.

Replacing the Rear Drum Felt Seal – Kenmore 110.71652021
If your dryer is squeaking, scraping, or catching clothes between the drum and cabinet, the rear felt seal ( 280114 Dryer Drum Felt Seal | Genuine Whirlpool OEM In Stock ) may be worn out.
Before you start:
Step 1: Access the Drum
Remove the lint screen.
Take out the screws under the lint screen.
Lift the top panel.
Disconnect the door switch connector.
Remove the front panel.
Release the belt from the idler pulley and motor pulley.
Lift the drum out.
Step 2: Replace the Felt Seal
Peel the old felt seal off the rear of the drum.
Scrape away all old adhesive and debris.
Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
Apply a thin, continuous bead of high-temperature adhesive.
Press the new felt seal into place around the drum.
Make sure the felt sits evenly with no twists or gaps.
Allow the adhesive to set per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Step 3: Reassemble
Reinstall the drum.
Route the belt correctly around the motor and idler pulleys.
Rotate the drum by hand to ensure smooth movement.
Reinstall the front panel and reconnect the door switch.
Lower the top and secure all screws.
Restore power and test the dryer.
Neighborly Tip
While the dryer is apart, check the:
Drum rollers
Idler pulley
Drive belt
If any are noisy or worn, replacing them now can save another teardown later.
If you have the seal kit part number, I can confirm it’s the correct one for model 110.71652021 .
I Have attached the service manual for reference
Thank you! You state you attached the service manual but I’m not seeing it attached. Can you please send it again? Thanks!
