Jennair Refrigerator JS48PPDUDE01 LED Freezer & Refrigerator Lights Dim

Brand:Jennair
Model Number: JS48PPDUDE01
Main Symptom: All Freezer & 1 Refrigerator LED lights dim
What happens & when:All freezer LEDs dim and 1 refrigerator LED dim when respective doors open.

Error Code (if any):None
Parts or tests already tried: Replaced all 11 LEDs with new Whirlpool LEDs. Light kit included 12 lights but I can only find 11. Maybe 1 bad light I can’t find? Could it be the light module and where is that located and how to replace? Other than 1 light in the refrigerator the other 5 work fine. Thank you.

There is a manufacturer service bulletin on the lighting issue.

Thanks! That was very helpful but unfortunately we’re just outside of the 5 year lights replacement provided under this Technical Service Pointer. Any suggestions on what I can try to resolve this problem since replacing the lights did not work?

You will need to check for power out of the Aurora board to the LEDs at connector J3…
see wiring diagram:

There seems to be 12 lights. Here is the complete wiring diagram and Tech Sheet..

Thank you both for the wiring diagrams! I see the diagram shows 12 lights and my Whirlpool replacement kit came with 12. But I’ve looked several times and only can find 11. There are 4 in the freezer and 7 in the refrigerator. They are all on the sides except for 1 on the ceiling of the the top shelf in the refrigerator. I keep hoping it’s as simple as finding a 12th light that is bad but no matter how many times I’ve looked I can only find 11.

Where do I find the Aurora board?

The board is ref#10 in the upper unit parts.

Thanks but from the diagram I can’t tell where the board is or how to access it. One small additional information is that I unplugged one of the dimmed LED lights and all the LEDs that were dim went off. So at least that proves all of the dimmed lights are on the same circuit. I also noted that once in a while the dimmed lights will flash once very very fast.

Do you have any further info that can point me towards accessing the board and measuring the voltage? If I can prove it a voltage problem on this circuit then I could proceed with ordering a new LED board. But until I can do this I can’t proceed any further. Thanks again.
