Hi Gents and Ladies,
I’d appreciate some advice/help regarding the installation of the above dryer.
(It’s supposed to be a Girbau dryer and looks like products they are marketing in the UK but the sticker inside the door gave the brand Econ-o-dry and the model number posted.. hope that makes sense)
I was asked to install a tumble dryer to replace one that was continuously breaking down. Expecting it to be the same model I thought no problem.
Instead they bought one as advised by the retailer. They have purchased the above one to mount on top of the rack system above the washer. (Girbau). Controls at the bottom, 8.2kg/5.2 KW.
What is supposed to be a simple job is getting worse by the day. I’m having to have a sparky sort out a power supply for it and now the care home staff want it moved. Slightly, about another <1.5m further from the existing connection to the venting. But it will have two 90 degree bends.
The dryer was just delivered, no instructions other than the registration form and feet for it. Pah…
I need to know what would be the maximum run distance for the venting. (I know the shorter the better) There is a sticker on the back that states it must be a rigid venting system. The external venting will be rigid but it goes into a conduit where it is flixible venting, where it rises before exiting the building. This flexible venting is tight and straight. I presume this would be ok??
I will try and upload some sort of diagrame but time is pressing, I’ve got about 26 hours to try and sort it. Customer - love the money they give me but not the hastle…
Regards -
