Brand: Maytag Model Number: MVWC565FW2 This washer came to me for free because the previous owner did not want it anymore and because we need something to replace our A512, which is making all kinds of racket during the spin cycle. I have hooked it up in the yard to our garden hose. I ran a test load of laundry. The previous owner thought it was not agitating, but for me it seems to work just fine. I am no washing machine guy, though. My wife does the laundry. And she is skeptical of my work, because I have in the past thought I fixed something and it wasn’t really fixed. She thinks it should agitate more than 30 degrees in the wash cycle. When it is first filling, it agitates much more. We tried Heavy, Light, and Powerwash. It only agitates about 30 degrees in the wash cycle. Is this normal? I took the agitator apart, and the plastic piece that connects to the spline off, and all the gear teeth are fine. I think that piece is a sacrificial one, so to me that means the rest should be fine. I should mention that I did a “RESET” with the central control and clicking this way and that, which could have fixed a computer issue, maybe. I think this machine is probably operating as designed, but I wouldn’t know. Does anyone have the info I need?

Sorry to bother you again. My wife is still skeptical, so I took a video of it during the washing cycle. I was wrong about 30 degrees. It looks more like 5 degrees. Note the sounds when it switches. I think this is probably normal, but she wants me to verify this with you guys.
